A long time since the Vietnamese entertainment industry was frozen because of the COVID-19, the audience now enjoys diverse works by Vietnamese artists.
De Choat comes back with a new rap name
On November 7, De Choat, the Vietnamese Rap Champion Season 1 surprisingly declared that he was about to come back under the new rap name "DC". Not letting the audience wait any longer, DC has officially introduced a new product called Gen Z - "Toi Cong Chuyen".
DC successfully combined the idea of a mother and common scolding lines in the rap Toi Cong Chuyen. The MV's topic is on children who had humorous childhoods, replaying occasions when their mothers scolded them for being mischievous. The rapper still retains his strength in lyrical and life-rich musical materials. This product brings many surprises with a more youthful and modern image.
Vu releases MV made in HongKong
Vu returned with the music video "Buoc Qua Nhau" on November 11, after the previous music video "Buoc Qua Mua Co Don". The MV contains three Hong Kong actors: the main actor Matthew Han, as well as Hazel Lam and Yuki Law - the two key actresses.
The new MV for the "Indie Prince" is a film about youth, in contrast to the fairly abstract visual in Buoc Qua Mua Co Don. Despite the pleasant images and clear tone, the melody and Vu's lyrics still convey sadness and regret. The video has gained over 2.4 million views and has risen to #1 Trending on YouTube Music.
Min collaborates with HIEUTHUHAI the 1st time
On October 15, Min released the music video for “Hit Vao Tho Ra”, a positive-energy song by musician Hua Kim Tuyen. This is also the first collaboration between this vocalist and the rapper HIEUTHUHAI.
The music video “Hit Vao Tho Ra” encourages young people to ignore negative dramas and appreciate life's simple pleasures. The MV exudes a bright, optimistic mood thanks to an enthusiastic, catchy tune and a simple, spontaneous narrative. The footage from the MV Hit Vao Tho Ra, which was shot on the streets of Saigon, also reveals many young people's desire to "pick up backpacks and go" after a lengthy period of separation.
Hoang Dung produced two MVs in a row
On November 15, the "dreamy musician" Hoang Dung posted the first photograph of the new product on his personal Facebook page. The product's poster is simple, with just a microphone and the words "Coming soon". The male vocalist provided no further information about the new product other than the song title, which was inscribed with the initials "HLMV".
Two weeks ago, Hoang Dung launched another product called "Mua He Bat Tan". In contrast to Hoang Dung's significant investment in MV Nang Tho - one of his most successful musical productions, Mua He Bat Tan played out in a straightforward manner with only Hoang Dung, his guitar, and his cats. Along with a gentle and rustic melody, Mua He Bat Tan resembles emotions and thoughts about the tumultuous time that Hoang Dung has just gone through due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
