De Choat comes back with a new rap name On November 7, De Choat, the Vietnamese Rap Champion Season 1 surprisingly declared that he was about to come back under the new rap name "DC". Not letting the audience wait any longer, DC has officially introduced a new product called Gen Z - "Toi Cong Chuyen". DC successfully combined the idea of a mother and common scolding lines in the rap Toi Cong Chuyen. The MV's topic is on children who had humorous childhoods, replaying occasions when their mothers scolded them for being mischievous. The rapper still retains his strength in lyrical and life-rich musical materials. This product brings many surprises with a more youthful and modern image. Vu releases MV made in HongKong Vu returned with the music video "Buoc Qua Nhau" on November 11, after the previous music video "Buoc Qua Mua Co Don". The MV contains three Hong Kong actors: the main actor Matthew Han, as well as Hazel Lam and Yuki Law - the two key actresses. The new MV for the "Indie Prince" is a film about youth, in contrast to the fairly abstract visual in Buoc Qua Mua Co Don. Despite the pleasant images and clear tone, the melody and Vu's lyrics still convey sadness and regret. The video has gained over 2.4 million views and has risen to #1 Trending on YouTube Music. Min collaborates with HIEUTHUHAI the 1st time On October 15, Min released the music video for “Hit Vao Tho Ra”, a positive-energy song by musician Hua Kim Tuyen. This is also the first collaboration between this vocalist and the rapper HIEUTHUHAI. The music video “Hit Vao Tho Ra” encourages young people to ignore negative dramas and appreciate life's simple pleasures. The MV exudes a bright, optimistic mood thanks to an enthusiastic, catchy tune and a simple, spontaneous narrative. The footage from the MV Hit Vao Tho Ra, which was shot on the streets of Saigon, also reveals many young people's desire to "pick up backpacks and go" after a lengthy period of separation. Hoang Dung produced two MVs in a row On November 15, the "dreamy musician" Hoang Dung posted the first photograph of the new product on his personal Facebook page. The product's poster is simple, with just a microphone and the words "Coming soon". The male vocalist provided no further information about the new product other than the song title, which was inscribed with the initials "HLMV". Two weeks ago, Hoang Dung launched another product called "Mua He Bat Tan". In contrast to Hoang Dung's significant investment in MV Nang Tho - one of his most successful musical productions, Mua He Bat Tan played out in a straightforward manner with only Hoang Dung, his guitar, and his cats. Along with a gentle and rustic melody, Mua He Bat Tan resembles emotions and thoughts about the tumultuous time that Hoang Dung has just gone through due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • UNICEF Vietnam celebrates World Children’s Day 2021 online

World Children’s Day is UNICEF’s annual day of action for children, by children. It takes place every year on November 20. This date also commemorates the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, raises awareness of critical issues affecting children's lives, and encourages children and young people to become advocates for their own rights. This year, UNICEF Vietnam held this event online at 8:00 a.m on November 17, via their Facebook fan page, YouTube channel, and VTV1. “Nourish your soul. Care for yourself and others!” The COVID-19 pandemic has shown how inequality affects the rights of every child. From climate change, education, and mental health, to ending racism and discrimination, children and young people are raising their voices on the issues that matter to their generation and calling for adults to create a better future. UNICEF Vietnam takes action by creating the theme “It’s ok not to be ok. Share your truth” and the slogan “Nourish your soul. Care for yourself and others!”. This World Children’s Day, it’s more important than ever that the world listens to children’s ideas and demands. The ceremony was conducted in Vietnamese, with an English translation and sign language for the hearing impaired. There was Ms. Rana Flowers - UNICEF Representative in Vietnam, Ms. Lesley Miller - UNICEF Deputy Representative in Viet Nam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh - Director of Tiktok Vietnam, and many other leaders, KOLs, journalists, celebrities, as well as young people attending. The event officially started at 8:30 am. To launch the ceremony, Madam Rana Flowers gave an opening speech about the meaning of this event. With child rights and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals high on her agenda, she has joined the UNICEF team in catalyzing change for children together with the Government of Vietnam since May 2019. “Many children are left behind. They are facing uncertainties in their education, mental health, especially in this pandemic”, Ms. Flowers stated. After that, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha showed her concerns and actions towards improving children’s lives “Deputy of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs has collaborated with other relevant deputies to raise awareness about psychological trauma in children during this situation. This creates a strong social network to take care and support children”. For children, by children The second part of this World Children’s Day celebration ceremony was a discussion among 4 young people about difficulties they were facing and the importance of mental health. This session was hosted by Associate Professor - Doctor of Psychology Tran Thanh Nam. "The epidemic has made me lose balance in my life. When I study online, I often skip meals and no longer have much interest in studying. Sports programs and exchange programs that help promote health are no longer organized. However, I have improved the situation by practicing sports at home. I think everyone should share the mental problems they are facing with their parents or anyone could help them feel better", Nguyen Quang Minh (16 years old) shared. To encourage people to talk about their mental health with their families, UNICEF Vietnam created a video that details the difficulties of each family member. The lyrics touched on many issues such as the father can not spend much time at home and the mother does not know how to express her emotions. The ceremony concluded with a session among parents who directly connect with children every day. MC Thao Van also attended online as a mother to share her experiences in dealing with children’s problems and the way to make things more harmonious. The event officially ended at nearly 11:00 a.m, with over 3100 views on Facebook, capping off a memorable day for children.

  • China, U.S to ease Visa curbs for media workers

Following the Biden-Xi summit, the U.S and China have agreed to lift restrictions on access for journalists and other media workers from each other’s countries. Easing media visa controls was one of three agreements reached during Tuesday’s virtual meeting between U.S President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi-Jinping, said China Daily’s unidentified sources. In particular, the two governments will increase the validity and duration of journalist visas to one-year multiple-entry, adding that the Chinese side will grant equal treatment to the U.S once the U.S policies come into force, Biden described the call as “a good meeting”. Journalist strictures are the result of a near-total breakdown of U.S-China relations during the final years of Donald Trump’s term. Washington kicked out numerous Chinese employees at the U.S offices of major Chinese state-owned media. Meanwhile, the Chinese government has expelled a large number of American journalists in China. The consensus represents the result of more than a year of difficult negotiations over the treatment of media outlets in both countries, according to China Daily. Daniel Russel, the former top U.S diplomat for Asia in the Obama administration described the meeting as the first of a “series of important conversations that can steer the relationship on a steadier course while the two sides continue to furiously compete”. CNN Business cited the U.S official as saying they welcome the progress but take it simply as initial steps. “We will continue to work toward expanding access and improving conditions for the U.S and other foreign media, and we will continue to advocate for media freedom as a reflection of our democratic values”, the U.S official added.

The comeback date and showtime were promptly updated on the official fan pages of cinemas in Ho Chi Minh City. The information drew a lot of attention, especially from young people. Bao Ngoc (19, Go Vap) said that she was excited and planned to spend the entire week watching movies with her pals. Furthermore, some viewers expressed their concerns over the rising number of cases.
