The Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area confirmed that landslides occurred on the mountainside behind Ba Pagoda on the afternoon of November 14.

Fortunately, these landslides have no impact on people's lives or property. The initial cause was determined to be two weeks of heavy rain, which weakened the ground.

Mr. Tran Hai Son, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, stated that as soon as the information was received, relevant units and agencies went to the scene to investigate the incident and find solutions. "Because there are no households in the landslide area, there is no material, human, or crop damage. The landslide area has been zoned", Mr. Son explained.

The landslide phenomenon is concentrated in the mid-mountain region, in some geologically weak areas, and in orphaned rock areas. The landslide area is not included in the scope of the ongoing works and projects around Ba Den Mountain.

According to a representative of the Ba Den Mountain Management Board, the leader of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has also directed that relevant units assess the potential geological impacts if the heavy rain continues. Simultaneously, units must organize forces and materials to monitor the landslide area.
